Yellow Flowers

Yellow Flowers

New York: Dot Books, 1972. Signature-bound in glossy pictorial wraps. 35pp. The only printing of Andrew Wylie's poetry collection issued on Richard Hell's Dot Books following a co-editing stint on six issues of the art and poetry journal Genesis Grasp, 1968-1971. Hell befriended Wylie at cinemabilia in the early 1970s, attracted to his sense of humor, and also to his sister. Wylie left his erotic writing in the dust years later when he formed his own literary agency, later saying of Yellow Flowers, 'I guess I wasn't destined to be a poet.'
