Perfect-bound, octavo, pictorial wraps, 202 pp. (A Manhattan Odyssey), 90 pp. (Coffee, Brandy & Cigars). The two-volume set of Herman G. Weinberg's last published miscellany of criticism and memoir, separated from it's originally issued slipcase. These two copies belonged to film historian and critic James Monaco, inscribed by him on verso sides of upper covers top left corner to both books. Additionally, A Manhattan Odyssey is inscribed to Monaco on first page. Weinberg was a pioneer in sub-titling films expanding on the intention of the movioloa, a device designed to permit editors to view film during the editorial process. Very good books, lightly worn wraps, some discolorations and creasing present, sound copies. Item #2005
